Plant Quality Head

Job Title: Plant & Quality Manager – RMC (Ready Mix Concrete) Department: Operations / Technical Employment Type: Full-Time Reporting To: Head - Technical Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Plant & Quality Manager to oversee the maintenance of plant equipment, ensure compliance with technical and quality standards, and manage production scheduling for Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) operations. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products to meet customer-specific requirements. Key Responsibilities:Plant Maintenance & Operations Oversee maintenance of all plant equipment and ensure BOS (Basic Operating Standards) compliance. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime. Optimize plant operations to improve efficiency, including maximizing recycled water usage. Workforce Management Develop multi-skilling among plant staff for flexibility and productivity. Manage working hours, shift allocation, and ensure attendance tracking. Customer-Centric Mix Design Interact with customers to understand specific needs for concrete mix designs. Customize and develop new mix designs and revise existing ones under the guidance of Head – Technical. Quality Assurance & Control Ensure strict adherence to QA/QC protocols as per BOS standards. Monitor testing of all raw materials and concrete ingredients used in the plant cluster. Conduct lab trials and random quality inspections for continuous improvement. Raw Material Compliance & Vendor Management Ensure all raw materials meet relevant Indian Standards and internal company norms. Approve vendor qualifications and maintain strong vendor relationships for material sourcing. Technical Documentation & Compliance Regularly review technical records related to material testing and concrete production. Ensure timely certification, calibration, and inspection of all critical equipment like CTM and weigh balances as per Indian Standards. Production Planning Strategically plan and schedule concrete production to meet delivery timelines and project demands. Coordinate closely with logistics and dispatch teams for smooth operations. Qualifications & Experience:Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field Experience: 5+ years in RMC Plant operations, QA/QC, or technical services Strong knowledge of Indian Standards for construction materials Experience in customer handling, concrete mix design, and quality systems Proficiency in using technical and production software Key Skills:Plant Operations & Maintenance QA/QC and BOS Compliance Mix Design Development Team & Resource Management Production Planning & Scheduling Technical Documentation Vendor Evaluation & Management Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
