Plant Manager

Job Purpose:

To lead and manage the overall operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production, quality output, cost control, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production & Operations Management

• Plan, organize, and oversee daily manufacturing activities to achieve production targets.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as needed to meet deadlines.

2. Quality Assurance

• Maintain strict quality standards in line with company and customer requirements.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions for quality deviations.
• Coordinate with the Quality team for audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Maintenance & Equipment Management

• Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of machinery and utilities.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.

4. Manpower & Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and motivate plant staff for better performance.
• Ensure proper manpower planning, shift scheduling, and discipline on the shop floor.

5. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

• Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with statutory and environmental regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety and cleanliness in the plant.

6. Inventory & Cost Control

• Monitor raw material usage, wastage, and inventory levels.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

7. Reporting & Coordination

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production and performance reports.
• Coordinate with departments like Purchase, Sales, and Finance for smooth operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Production Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum 05–10 years of experience in a manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Industry Preference: [Specify — e.g., Automotive, Packaging, FMCG, Engineering, etc.]

Work Environment:

• Plant-based role with responsibility for entire production unit.
• Requires coordination across multiple departments .

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
