Job Title: Plant Head

Location: Durgapur, West Bengal

Role Summary:

A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including root cause analysis, troubleshooting at every possible level, and integrated management systems complying with ISO standards, strong leadership, motivation, and conflict management skills are essential to lead and manage a diverse team. Overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production schedules, to ensure efficient, cost-effective measures through cost control and compliant manufacturing systems. Leading and motivating the plant workforce while managing resource allocation and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily plant operations, implement production schedules, and coordinate with all other departments such as Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Electrical, HR & IR, and other major departments to ensure smooth workflow and maximize equipment reliability.
• Ensure product quality standards, monitor manufacturing processes to trace defects, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor production costs, identify areas for improvement, and develop processes to reduce expenses while meeting budget goals, including minimizing equipment downtime.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and developing safety procedures.
• Lead, motivate, and manage the plant workforce, including hiring, training, and setting performance expectations.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
• Demonstrate excellent planning, organizing, and controlling skills for managing complex production schedules, resources, and daily operations.
• Ensure proficiency in performance tracking and management.
• Effectively handle changes under pressure and help the team adapt by driving realistic plans in the organization’s best interest during contingencies.
• Attend trainings, seminars, and conferences to stay updated on the latest technology and methods to enhance manufacturing efficiency.

Educational Qualification & Experience Required:

·        A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field, combined with relevant experience. Formal education in Management will be preferred.

·        Minimum 12 – 15 years of relevant work experience.
