We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Engineer Construction to ensure efficient project execution through effective planning, scheduling, coordination, and cost control. The role requires close collaboration with project, site, procurement, and finance teams to deliver construction projects on time and within budget.

Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹60,000 per month

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Project management certifications (PMP / PRINCE2 / CAPM) will be an added advantage

Experience

• 4–6 years of experience in planning and scheduling roles within construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong hands-on exposure to project planning, coordination, and monitoring
• Experience using planning and scheduling tools
• Good understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking

Key ResponsibilitiesPlanning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed project schedules, timelines, and execution plans
• Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and perform critical path analysis
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams to align activities
• Ensure milestones are achieved as per approved schedules

Progress Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor actual progress against planned schedules
• Identify delays, risks, and corrective actions
• Prepare periodic progress reports and dashboards for management
• Track project performance using KPIs and metrics

Cost & Budget Control

• Coordinate with the Quantity Surveyor Engineer (QSE) for cost estimates and budgets
• Monitor project costs and implement cost-control measures
• Conduct variance analysis and support budget forecasting
• Assist in financial planning throughout the project lifecycle

Cash Flow Management

• Prepare and track project cash flow statements
• Coordinate with finance teams for timely fund allocation
• Monitor receivables and payables to maintain healthy cash flow
• Support financial controls and reporting systems

Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills

• Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or similar tools
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Understanding of construction methods, contracts, and procurement processes
• Knowledge of industry standards, compliance, and safety regulations

Analytical & Interpersonal Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Effective risk identification and mitigation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination capabilities
• Ability to work collaboratively and support team performance

Preferred Skills

• Project management certification (PMP / PRINCE2 / CAPM)
• Experience with digital project management platforms
• Knowledge of sustainable construction and green building practices
• Exposure to residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
