Role Summary:

As a Placement Officer at VGLD, you will be responsible for building strong industry relations, creating placement opportunities for our students, preparing them for the job market, and ensuring successful student-employer connections. The ideal candidate should have excellent networking, communication, and organizational skills, with a strong understanding of the finance and accounting industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Industry Engagement & Employer Relations
  • Build and maintain partnerships with companies, recruitment firms, and corporates aligned with our course domains.
  • Identify hiring trends in accounting, finance, taxation, audit, and consulting sectors.
  • Liaise with HR and hiring teams to facilitate campus placement drives, internships, and job opportunities.
  • Placement Process Management
  • Organize and coordinate placement drives, job fairs, career expos, and industry webinars.
  • Manage end-to-end placement activities including resume collection, interview scheduling, and result follow-ups.
  • Maintain accurate placement data and generate periodic reports.


Student Preparation & Support

  • Conduct soft skills training, mock interviews, and resume building workshops tailored for ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA, EA, CIA, and CFP students.
  • Provide one-on-one career guidance and support for students based on their course and career interests.
  • Assist in creating student profiles and matching them to suitable job roles.
  • Alumni & Employer Database Management
  • Maintain and update an active database of alumni and employers.
  • Encourage alumni participation in mentoring, referrals, and employer connects.


Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Education, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in placement coordination, career services, or recruitment (preferably in the education or edtech sector).
  • Strong network in the finance, accounting, and consulting industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM or placement management tools.


Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of qualifications like ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA, CIA, EA, and CFP.
  • Knowledge of global and Indian job markets in accounting, finance, and taxation.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team with a result-oriented mindset.
