ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, statutory compliance, and payroll-related reporting for employees across multiple geographies, with primary focus on India and Singapore payrolls.
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for India, Singapore, and other assigned regions Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution on a monthly basis Handle payroll inputs including new hires, exits, salary revisions, bonuses, incentives, reimbursements, and leave adjustments
• Perform payroll validations, reconciliations, and variance analysis before final processing Statutory & Compliance Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to: India: PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax, TDS, Form 16, payroll audits Singapore: CPF, IRAS, tax filings, statutory submissions Coordinate with external consultants/vendors for statutory filings where applicable
• Stay updated on changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements across regions Employee Lifecycle Support Support payroll aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding (final settlements, gratuity, leave encashment, tax settlements, etc.) Address employee payroll queries professionally and within defined SLAs
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and documentation Reporting & Controls Prepare payroll MIS reports, statutory reports, and management dashboards Support internal and external audits related to payroll
• Ensure strong payroll controls, data accuracy, and confidentiality Process Improvement Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency, automation, and compliance processes.
• Assist in payroll system enhancements or transitions, if required Document payroll processes and SOPs for consistency and continuity

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field Professional certification in Payroll / HR / Finance is an added advantage
• Experience 5–8 years of hands-on payroll experience, preferably in IT / consulting / services organizations
• Strong experience managing India payroll end-to-end is mandatory
• Experience with Singapore and Malaysia payroll is highly preferred
• Exposure to multi-country payroll or coordination with global payroll vendors is a plus
• Strong knowledge of payroll statutory compliance and taxation Experience with payroll systems (any standard payroll software) and Excel Ability to handle payroll for mid-sized organizations (300–500+ employees)
• High attention to detail and accuracy Behavioral Competencies Strong ownership and accountability
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams across geographies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle confidential data with integrity
