The Patent Analyst intern will support the execution of patent research and analysis projects across a wide range of technologies. This internship is an ideal opportunity for engineering students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in intellectual property research, particularly in patent searching and analytics within the ICT domain.
Specially, the Patent Analyst Intern will
- Understand the technology, product, or invention to be analyzed
- Collaborate with seniors and internal teams to refine invention understanding
- If required, interact with inventors, researchers, or patent attorneys for technical clarification
- Conduct various patent searches, including:
- Prior art, novelty, and patentability searches
- Patent landscaping and portfolio analysis
- Validity and Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) searches
- Analyze and summarize technical and patent search results
- Prepare high-quality, insightful reports aligned with client expectations
- Assist inventors/clients in patent filings or suggest design-around strategies based on findings
- Gain exposure to advanced patent analysis services tailored to client needs

- Interest in learning IP-related tools, terminology, and processes
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech (Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and equivalent)
