Job Description

Odoo Functional Consultant

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, hands-on Odoo module experience, and the ability to

translate complex business processes into effective ERP solutions.


Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Gathering & Business Analysis

  • Conduct meetings with clients to understand business workflows.
  • Map client requirements to Odoo modules and identify gaps.
  • Analyse, document, and validate functional requirements.
  • Provide process improvement suggestions based on best practices.


2. Odoo Module Implementation

  • Configure and implement core Odoo modules such as:
  • Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, CRM, HR, Manufacturing, Projects, etc.
  • Create master data templates and support data migration activities.
  • Conduct end-to-end module testing and troubleshoot issues.


3. Solution Design & Documentation

  • Prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and GAP Analysis reports.
  • Define workflows, approval rules, and configuration guidelines.
  • Prepare User Manuals, SOPs, and training materials.


4. Coordination with Technical Team

  • Work closely with Odoo Developers to translate functional needs into technical specifications.
  • Review developed features to ensure alignment with functional requirements.
  • Provide clarification and continuous support during development cycles.


5. User Training & Go-Live Support

  • Deliver UAT (User Acceptance Testing) sessions and user training programs.
  • Support clients during deployment, cutover, and post-Go-Live phases.
  • Provide ongoing support for enhancements, bug fixes, and optimisation.


Requisite Skills:

  • Strong understanding of business processes across Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounts, HR, and Manufacturing.
  • In-depth working knowledge of Odoo versions 13 to 17.
  • Ability to prepare documentation (FRD, BRD, UAT, SOPs).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL queries, Excel, and ERP workflows.
  • Experience working in Agile implementation environments is a plus.


Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, IT, Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Odoo certification or experience implementing 3+ end-to-end Odoo projects preferred.
