Role Overview

As a Product Manager for NNIITs community platform, you will own the product roadmap, design features to enhance user engagement, and foster a safe, scalable community. Youll work closely with engineering, design, data, and community moderators to deliver a product that balances user needs, trust and safety, and business objectives. This role is perfect for a passionate PM who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and is excited about community-driven products.

Key Responsibilities

- Define and execute the product vision and roadmap for a community platform centered on user-generated content and engagement.

- Design features to boost user retention and interaction, such as content discovery tools, gamification (e.g., karma systems), or notifications.

- Develop moderation tools and policies to ensure community safety, quality, and inclusivity while tackling toxicity and spam.

- Analyze key metrics (e.g., DAU, MAU, retention, sentiment) to prioritize features and measure impact.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, data science) to ship high-impact features.

- Engage with users to understand community needs, pain points, and cultural trends, translating insights into product decisions.

- Balance competing priorities from users, moderators, and leadership in a dynamic startup environment.

Qualifications

- 8+ years of product management experience, ideally with community-driven platforms (e.g., Reddit, Discord, X) or user-generated content products.

- Proven ability to design and ship features that drive user engagement and retention.

- Strong analytical skills with experience using tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar to track KPIs and inform decisions.

- Technical fluency to collaborate with engineering teams on APIs, moderation tools, or scalability challenges.

- Deep understanding of community dynamics, content moderation, and trust and safety principles.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to align diverse teams and advocate for users.

- Experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) in fast-paced environments.

- Bonus: Experience with gamification systems, social media platforms, or subreddit-like structures.

Pay: ₹1,256,973.46 - ₹2,010,666.08 per year
