About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our talented engineering team at Talentgigs. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and scaling high-performance web applications utilizing Next.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, including advanced vector database integrations with pgvector. You will work closely with product managers, AI specialists, and backend engineers to create seamless, secure, and scalable solutions that meet our clients' evolving needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern full-stack development, a passion for innovative technologies, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 6+ years of professional experience in software development, with at least 3+ years dedicated to modern full-stack development. A strong command of Next.js, TypeScript, and React is essential, along with hands-on experience in backend services using Node.js. Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and indexing, is required, especially with knowledge of pgvector for semantic search and AI embeddings. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and experience with DevOps tools like Docker and CI/CD pipelines are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment. Knowledge of AI/ML integrations, microservices architecture, and observability tools will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications utilizing Next.js and TypeScript, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Create server-side rendered (SSR), static, and API-driven applications to meet diverse client requirements.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs for seamless data exchange and integration.
- Design and manage PostgreSQL schemas, including queries, indexing, and performance tuning to ensure database efficiency.
- Implement and optimize pgvector for semantic search, AI embeddings, and recommendation systems, enhancing application intelligence capabilities.
- Integrate AI/ML workflows into production systems, including embeddings and similarity search functionalities.
- Ensure application security, scalability, and performance through best practices and proactive monitoring.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, backend developers, and AI engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior team members, and enforce coding standards and best practices across projects.
- Participate in system architecture discussions, technical decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
