Role Description

Content Writer

The role involves creating SEO-optimized, audience-driven, and brand-aligned content across multiple formats — from blogs and press releases to ad copies and website content.

Key Responsibilities

1. Research & Strategy

  • Understand client products, services, and brand positioning.
  • Conduct research, competitor analysis, and develop audience personas.
  • Collaborate with client servicing and strategy teams to define key messaging and campaign goals.

2. Content Creation

  • Write and edit content for websites, blogs, newsletters, social media, and ad campaigns.
  • Develop journalistic content such as press releases, interviews, and feature stories.
  • Ensure all writing adheres to SEO best practices and brand tone guidelines.

3. Editorial Excellence

  • Proofread and fact-check for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Maintain AP Style and editorial integrity across all deliverables.
  • Ensure high-quality, publication-ready content with zero errors.

4. Collaboration

  • Work closely with design, SEO, and marketing teams to align content with campaigns.
  • Present drafts, incorporate feedback, and optimize for engagement and visibility.

5. Innovation & Growth

  • Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for research, ideation, and productivity.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in SEO, content strategy, and digital storytelling.
  • Leverage analytics and audience insights to continuously improve content quality and performance.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent command over English and journalistic writing
  • Proven experience in SEO content writing and editing
  • Strong research, storytelling, and proofreading skills
  • Understanding of audience psychology and digital platforms
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress or HubSpot
  • Working knowledge of SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, SurferSEO, Google Analytics)
  • Adaptable, creative, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, or Marketing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in content writing, copywriting, or editorial roles
  • A strong portfolio of published content (blogs, news articles, or brand features preferred)
