Job Description

As the National Sales Manager for Aveda, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the commercial strategy to achieve accurate sales planning and delivery of sales targets. Working closely with marketing, demand planning, salon, and retail operations, you will ensure seamless operations and financial KPI achievement by collaborating with various departments. Your key responsibilities will include developing and executing sales plans for retail and salon outlets, achieving monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets, and creating strategic growth plans by retailer and key salon groups. You will be responsible for providing accurate net sales forecasting, leading trade agreements and negotiations, overseeing the demand plan process, and collaborating with marketing on new launch forecasting. Building and maintaining strong relationships with retailers and salons will be crucial, and you will hold regular meetings to identify new business opportunities, manage store refits, and ensure effective space management within retailers. Additionally, you will evaluate current distribution channels, identify opportunities for expansion, and present accurate sales projections for new points of distribution. In terms of people management and leadership, you will lead and develop the sales team, set clear goals, and build capabilities while fostering team development and collaborative relationships internally and externally. You will spend 90% of your time in the field, meeting with the sales team and salon owners to ensure the quality of salons opened. To be successful in this role, you will need to work effectively at both strategic and operational levels, possess strong commercial acumen, excellent numeracy, analytical, and negotiating skills, and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, manage and develop team members, demonstrate passion, commitment, learning agility, flexibility, and a proactive attitude are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is also required for this position.,
