We are looking for a dynamic National Key Account Manager - Modern Trade (MT) to drive growth and visibility for DeHaat Honest Farms in the Modern Trade channel. You'll be responsible for managing key retail accounts, building strong partnerships, and executing strategies that boost product availability, visibility, and profitability.
1. Key Account Management
● Manage and grow relationships with Modern Trade (MT) partners.
● Act as the single point of contact for all MT partners in the assigned region.
● Ensure smooth coordination for listings, promotions, planograms, and supply-related activities.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
● Drive sales targets, market share, and profitability within assigned accounts.
● Plan and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.
● Work on joint business plans (JBPs) and category development initiatives with key retailers.
3. Business Development
● Identify and onboard new MT partners to expand the retail footprint of Honest Farms.
● Explore regional and modern retail chains to strengthen presence in South India.
4. Visibility & Brand Activation
● Ensure proper product placement, visibility, and adherence to planograms.
● Coordinate in-store branding, activations, sampling, and consumer promotions with the marketing team.
● Monitor competitor activities and recommend corrective actions to maintain brand edge.
5. Commercials & Negotiations
● Manage pricing, trade margins, schemes, and promotions in alignment with company policies.
● Negotiate commercial terms, listings, and marketing spends to ensure ROI.
● Track trade spends and ensure timely settlements and reconciliations.
6. Operations & Supply Coordination
● Ensure on-time order execution, replenishment, and stock availability.
● Liaise with supply chain, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution and timely
payments.
● Maintain hygiene in billing, claims, and account reconciliations.
7. Reporting & Analytics
● Track sales performance, secondary off-take, and ROI on trade investments.
● Analyze category performance, consumer trends, and store-level data to identify growth
opportunities.
● Share periodic MIS reports and actionable insights with the leadership team.
- Postgraduate in Business Management, Marketing, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in FMCG / Modern Trade / Key Account Management.
- Strong relationship management & negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker with result orientation
- Effective cross-functional coordination & communication
- Sound understanding of Modern Trade operations & FMCG sales systems
- Knowledge of category management, trade promotions, and retail analytics
- Awareness of agri-based and sustainable food products preferred
