What Your Role Entails

To develop high-performance, reliable, and energy-efficient BLDC fan and compressor motors through robust design, validation, and continuous improvement — enabling product competitiveness and long-term customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do:

Motor Development

• Development of BLDC fan motors and BLDC compressor motors.
• Selection of motor topology, winding configuration, and magnetic materials.
• Optimization for performance, efficiency, noise, and cost.

Design Validation & Reliability Testing

• Define and execute validation and reliability test plans.
• Perform endurance, thermal, and performance testing as per standards.
• Evaluate motor reliability under different operating conditions.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with electronics, mechanical, and system design teams.
• Prepare and maintain design documents, test reports, and validation records.
• Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities for performance enhancement and cost reduction.
• Support supplier development and quality improvement initiatives.

Your success is grounded in

• B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics/Electrical Eng with minimum 12 years of experience.

Motor Design & Development

• Lead end-to-end development of BLDC, PMSM, Induction Motors, and Fan Motors for AC applications.
• Define motor specifications based on system requirements, performance targets, and cost objectives.
• Review electromagnetic design, thermal design, noise/vibration aspects, and mechanical construction.
• Develop comprehensive test plans for performance, reliability, safety, and compliance testing.
• Review motor test data and validate against functional, environmental, and efficiency targets.
• Drive improvements based on test results and field feedback.

Motor Testing & Performance Evaluation

1. Skilled in testing fan and compressor motors for
2. Efficiency, torque, and power output
3. Noise and vibration
4. Thermal rise and overload performance
5. Proficiency in using dynamo meters, power analysers, tachometers, and data loggers.

Reliability & Validation

• Experience in defining design validation and reliability test plans.
• Conducting or supporting endurance, overload, high temperature, and humidity tests.
• Evaluation of motor degradation, failure patterns, and corrective action planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordination with electronics, firmware, mechanical, and testing teams for system-level integration.
• Understanding of controller–motor interface, sensor feedback, and control logic.
• Collaboration with sourcing and supplier teams for component selection and cost optimisation.

Documentation & Configuration Control

• Preparation of design reports, test results, and design validation documentation.
• Maintaining design revision history, including logic versions and BOM updates.
• Supporting DFMEA documentation for project traceability.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Propose and implement design improvements to enhance performance, reduce cost, and improve manufacturability.
• Bench marking with competitor products for feature and efficiency comparison.
• Staying updated on new motor technologies and materials.
