Job Description

Role Summary

Allen Bradley PLC logic

Key Responsibilities

1. PLC Programming & Code Adaptation

Allen Bradley PLC programs (GX Works2/GX Works3)

• Implement logic changes related to routing, docking, lifting, safety interlocks, and interface signals.

• Ensure compliance with the provided sequence of operations, IO mapping, and functional requirements.

2. AGV System Integration

• Understand AGV control architecture, including sensors such as:

– Safety laser scanners

– Encoders

– RFID/barcode readers

– Proximity/limit sensors

– Lift/actuator feedback

• Validate AGV communication interfaces (Ethernet/IP, CC-Link, Modbus, OPC UA, etc.).

• Coordinate with mechanical/electrical teams for integration of field devices.

3. FMS (Fleet Management System) Support

• Modify PLC-based FMS logic to align with plant flow and process requirements.

• Support functions such as call stations, traffic zones, routing logic, and line-to-line interface signals.

• Work with AE Corp and plant automation teams for integration touchpoints with SCADA/MES (if applicable).

4. Installation & Commissioning

• Perform end-to-end commissioning activities for the assigned AGV line, including:

– Field IO checks

– Network validation

– Motion/sequence testing

– Functional testing of AGV behaviors

– Troubleshooting during trial runs

• Support production through debugging, fine-tuning, and system calibration.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily commissioning logs, change reports, and code revision records.

• Update IO lists, cause–effect matrices, and network diagrams if changes are made.

• Provide structured handover documentation at project completion.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Competencies

2–6 years of experience

GX Works2 / GX Works3 / iQ Works

• Experience in robotics, AGVs, material-handling systems, or automotive automation preferred.

• Strong understanding of industrial sensors, IO wiring, control panels, and safety systems.

• Ability to read/interpret electrical drawings, IO lists, and network schematics.

• Experience in debugging automation systems under production conditions.

Technical Knowledge

• Mitsubishi PLC hardware and motion modules

• Industrial networks: CC-Link, Ethernet/IP, TCP/IP, OPC

• Safety systems, emergency stop loops, interlocks

• VFDs, servo drives, field IO modules

• Experience with FMS/SCADA/MES integration is an advantage

Soft Skills

• Strong troubleshooting mindset

• Clear communication with cross-functional teams

• Ability to work independently on a remote site

• Adaptability and patience during production ramp-up

• Professional documentation and reporting discipline
