Job Description

Job Summary: The MIS Executive is responsible for the effective management and administration of an organization's information systems. The individual will ensure that the systems are operating efficiently and reliably, support business operations, and contribute to strategic business planning. This role requires a blend of technical skills, business acumen, and excellent problem-solving abilities. Key Responsibilities: 1. System Maintenance and Administration: Ensure the continuous and smooth operation of MIS systems, including hardware, software, and networks. Perform regular system backups, updates, and maintenance tasks to safeguard data and enhance system performance. 2. Data Management: Manage the storage, organization, and security of data. Ensure data integrity and accuracy, handling data extraction, aggregation, and presentation as needed. 3. User Support and Training: Provide technical support to end-users, addressing and resolving any system-related issues. Conduct training sessions for staff on using MIS tools and applications effectively. 4. System Development and Enhancement: Collaborate with departmental managers to identify and develop system improvements and enhancements. Participate in the planning, design, and implementation of new systems and applications. 5. Reporting and Analysis: Generate recurring and ad-hoc reports to support business decision-making. Analyze data and identify trends to inform strategic planning and operational improvements. 6. Compliance and Security: Ensure that all systems comply with internal policies and external regulations. Implement and monitor IT security measures to protect against unauthorized access and data breaches. 7. Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with external service providers and vendors. Oversee contracts, manage service level agreements (SLAs), and evaluate performance. 8. Budgeting and Cost Management: Monitor and manage the MIS department’s budget. Optimize IT resources to achieve cost efficiencies. Required Skills and Qualifications: Education: A bachelor’s degree in any stream if Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field will get preferred. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in MIS, IT management, or a related field. Technical Skills: Proficiency in database management systems ( Excel is a must). Knowledge of ERP systems and other enterprise software. Familiarity with network infrastructure, hardware, and software. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with different business units. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
