Position: Merchandiser Industry: Garment industry Location: Ludhiana Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Merchandiser to join our apparel manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the complete product lifecycle—from sampling and sourcing to production follow-up and delivery. You will act as a key link between buyers, production, and internal teams to ensure timely execution of orders and high-quality product delivery. Key Responsibilities: Order Management: Coordinate with buyers for order confirmation, costing, and timelines. Track orders from development through final shipment. Sampling & Product Development: Develop and manage proto, fit, and pre-production samples. Coordinate sample approvals with buyers and internal teams. Production Coordination: Liaise with production, fabric, trims, and quality departments to ensure timely execution. Monitor production progress and resolve issues proactively. Communication & Follow-up: Maintain regular communication with buyers and vendors. Provide updates on order status, sample approvals, and production milestones. Sourcing & Vendor Management: Source materials, trims, and accessories as required. Evaluate and manage supplier performance in terms of quality, pricing, and delivery. Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain T&A (Time & Action) calendars. Ensure accurate and timely documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Quality Assurance Support: Coordinate with the QA team to ensure quality standards are met. Participate in inline and final inspections when necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, Textile Engineering, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience as a merchandiser in an apparel manufacturing setup. Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, fabrics, and trims. Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of ERP systems is a plus. Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
