Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEPF Design Manager with proven experience in electrical design for a wide range of building types including museums, libraries, office buildings, malls/retail spaces, healthcare facilities, hospitality, and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in designing power, lighting, data, fire alarm, and security systems, with deep knowledge of local and international codes, energy standards, and equipment specifications.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical load/demand calculations and develop detailed electrical load schedules.

• Develop comprehensive electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, data, fire alarm, CCTV, and associated installation drawings.

• Design and specify electrical requirements for HVAC systems and specialized equipment such as chillers, pumps, AHUs, fire pumps, lifts, etc.

• Coordinate and integrate Building Management Systems (BMS) into electrical designs.

• Prepare Design Basis Reports (DBR), technical specifications, and equipment selection reports.

• Conduct voltage drop and short circuit calculations, preferably using Excel or similar tools.

• Design and specify Motor Control Centres (MCCs), starters, drives, and control schemes.

• Ensure compliance with NBC, CPWD design guidelines, and other applicable codes/standards.

• Dimension electrical spaces such as panel rooms, shaft sizes, and cable routes as per equipment needs.

• Estimate quantities through detailed material take-offs (MTOs) and align with DSR/HSR schedules.

• Optimize designs to comply with Lighting Power Density (LPD) limits as per ASHRAE 90.1.

• Contribute to sustainability initiatives and support documentation for certifications such as LEED, BREEAM, IGBC, etc.

• Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design delivery.

Years of experience:

• 5 to 7 years’ experience needed as a MEPF Design Engineer
