Job Title: Software Test Engineer Location: Pune Role Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive testing of medical devices to ensure compliance with standards. Develop and implement test plans for various medical devices. Perform risk assessments and evaluate potential hazards associated with device usage. Document and communicate test results and findings to stakeholders. Collaborate with engineering teams to understand product specifications. Ensure adherence to industry regulations and quality standards during testing process. Maintain accurate records of all testing activities and outcomes. Provide training and guidance to junior staff on testing procedures. Identify and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing processes. Assist in the development and review of technical documentation for devices. Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance product development processes. Monitor testing environments to ensure optimal conditions for test execution. Support regulatory submissions by providing necessary documentation and evidence of compliance. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in medical device testing. Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to discuss testing strategies and outcomes. Must-Haves 5+ years in software verification. Minimum 3+ years experience in Java, Groovy, JUnit, and Selenium. Minimum 1+ year experience in either Geb or Spock, and Page Objects. Minimum 1+ year experience with CI/CD Systems. Experience with at least two of the following: Git, Jira, Eclipse, IntelliJ, SQL. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in Software testing. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for medical devices. Experience with quality management systems (QMS). Proficient in developing and executing test protocols. Hands-on experience with laboratory testing equipment. Ability to analyze and interpret complex data effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Creative problem-solving skills to address testing issues. Experience working in a collaborative team environment. Knowledge of standard IEC 62304 Medical Device Software Software life cycle process. Knowledge or prior experience of using Git/GitLab. Experience of Testing of web applications. Familiarity with risk management processes in medical device development. Proficient in using software tools for data collection and analysis. Willingness to work on-site and adhere to lab protocols. Capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
