Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing, delivering, monitoring, and continuously improving training programs to enhance the capacity of trainers/facilitators and ensure the quality of training aligns with organizational and industry needs. Your contributions will lead to better performance, learning outcomes, and productivity. Key Responsibilities: - Develop training content, curricula, modules, and instructional materials tailored to target audience(s). - Lead the design and delivery of training sessions (classroom, virtual, on-the-job) using interactive, participative, experiential learning methods. - Mentor, coach, and upskill a team of trainers/facilitators to ensure consistency and high-quality delivery across trainers. - Conduct Training Needs Assessments (TNAs) to identify skill gaps and adjust training programs accordingly. - Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, gather feedback from participants, analyze learning outcomes, and refine content and methods. - Ensure that training is aligned with relevant industry standards, organizational goals, and compliance requirements. - Maintain training documentation such as schedules, records, attendance, training evaluations, and reports. - Manage logistics for training programs including scheduling, venues, materials, technology, etc. - Liaise with stakeholders (internal teams, subject matter experts, external experts) to ensure relevance and accuracy. - Ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) related to training such as engagement, knowledge retention, and application are met. - Where relevant, travel to training locations/field sites, supervise field-based trainers, and conduct site audits. - Continuously engage in professional development to stay up-to-date with learning methodologies, tools, technologies, and best practices. Required Qualifications & Skills: - Education: Bachelors degree in Education, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Engineering, or a relevant field. Masters degree is preferred depending on level. - Experience: Minimum X years (often 3-7 years) in training/learning & development with exposure to designing and delivering training. At least some experience with leadership/mentoring of trainers. - Domain knowledge: Relevant subject matter expertise (skills training, technical, sales, soft skills, etc.). - Excellent communication and presentation skills. - Strong facilitation skills and ability to engage diverse audiences. - Proficiency with training tools and technologies (e.g., LMS, virtual platforms, e-learning tools). - Good planning, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple training projects. - Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret evaluation data and adjust training accordingly. - Soft skills: Leadership, interpersonal skills, patience, adaptability, problem-solving. - Computer literacy: MS Office, possibly specialized tools (video editing, content development, etc.).
