Job Title: Business Development Manager Location: Chennai Job Summary: The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive growth and profitability. This role involves building and maintaining relationships with potential clients, analyzing market trends, and implementing strategies to expand the company’s market presence. Key Responsibilities: 1. Business Growth: o Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships. o Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business growth targets. o Conduct market research to identify potential clients and market trends. 2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: o Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients. o Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals. o Negotiate contracts and close deals to meet revenue goals. 3. Strategic Planning: o Analyze market conditions, competitors, and industry trends to inform business strategies. o Collaborate with senior management to develop and refine business development strategies. 4. Sales and Marketing: o Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute targeted campaigns. o Manage and track sales pipelines, and report on performance metrics. 5. Networking and Representation: o Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions. o Build a network of industry contacts and leverage connections to generate leads. 6. Client Support: o Ensure client satisfaction by addressing issues and providing excellent service. o Follow up with clients to ensure successful implementation and long-term relationships. 7. Reporting and Analysis: o Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and performance. o Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies and initiatives. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Experience: Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role; experience in Logistics industry is a plus. Skills: o Strong understanding of business development principles and practices. o Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. o Ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscape. o Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. o Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Working Conditions: Full-time position Travel may be required to meet clients and attend industry events.
