Job Requirements

At Quest Global, it’s not just what we do but how and why we do it that makes us different. With over 25 years as an engineering services provider, we believe in the power of doing things differently to make the impossible possible. Our people are driven by the desire to make the world a better place—to make a positive difference that contributes to a brighter future. We bring together technologies and industries, alongside the contributions of diverse individuals who are empowered by an intentional workplace culture, to solve problems better and faster.

Key Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support our electronics product line in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electronic manufacturing processes, production optimization, quality standards (AS9100, IPC), and cross-functional collaboration for new product introduction (NPI). This role is pivotal in driving production efficiency, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring the manufacturability of aerospace electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods and processes for electronic assemblies (PCBAs, wiring harnesses, electronic modules).
  • Collaborate with design engineering during NPI to ensure design-for-manufacturability (DFM) and design-for-testability (DFT) principles are applied.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans.
  • Lead and support root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to manufacturing non-conformities.
  • Support ERP/SAP systems to manage BOMs, routings, and process change control.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement (Kaizen, 5S, value stream mapping).
  • Perform process capability studies and lead efforts in yield improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100, IPC-A-610/620, FAA/EASA regulations).
  • Coordinate with Quality, Supply Chain, and Production teams to resolve production issues and meet delivery schedules.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support documentation for regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within the aerospace or high-reliability electronics industry.
  • Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes (SMT, through-hole, conformal coating, soldering standards).
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality systems and documentation practices (AS9100, NADCAP).
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as PFMEA, SPC, Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred), and lean methodologies.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and PLM/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Windchill).
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day. Questians are driven by hunger, humility, and aspiration. We believe that our company culture is the key to our ability to make a true difference in every industry we reach. Our teams regularly invest time and dedicated effort into internal culture work, ensuring that all voices are heard.

We wholeheartedly believe in the diversity of thought that comes with fostering a culture rooted in respect, where everyone belongs, is valued, and feels inspired to share their ideas. We know embracing our unique differences makes us better, and that solving the worlds hardest engineering problems requires diverse ideas, perspectives, and backgrounds. We shine the brightest when we tap into the many dimensions that thrive across over 21,000 difference-makers in our workplace.

Work Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as IPC-A-610/620, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with RF, high-speed digital, or power electronics manufacturing.
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0 technologies (MES, digital work instructions, automation).
  • Knowledge of FAA PMA/MRO or DO-160/DO-254 environments.
