We are looking to hire Asst Manager /Deputy Manager- Transportation Sales for Mumbai  Location with 5+years of experience for JCPL.

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to oversee our Road Transport category. This role will focus on developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing costs. A strong background in business development, revenue generation, and sales is highly desirable to support our growth and profitability initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:
Create procurement strategies that align with business goals; analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Supplier Management:
Foster relationships with land transport providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service standards.

Sourcing:
Lead sourcing efforts, assess suppliers, and negotiate pricing to secure the best value.

Contract Management:
Develop and oversee supplier contracts; monitor performance and address any disputes.

Cost Optimization:
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and enhance land transport operations.

Risk Management:
Address risks associated with transportation operations and create contingency plans.

Performance Monitoring:
Establish KPIs to evaluate performance and generate reports for stakeholders.

Business Development:
Initiate revenue-generating strategies and collaborate with sales teams to expand market reach and enhance service offerings.

Continuous Improvement:
Keep abreast of industry trends and lead initiatives for process improvement.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications preferred.

Experience:
8+ years in road transport management, procurement, and supplier management, with experience in business development or sales.

Skills:

• Knowledge of transportation logistics
• Strong negotiation abilities
• Proficient in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and data analysis
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
