Purpose of the Position:

1. Timely release of Bill of Material and drawings for Boiler recirculation pumps.2. Ensuring effective knowledge transfer from KSB SE and timely localization of pumps and motors.3. Resolution of technical issues reported during Procurement / Manufacturing of parts, Assembly & Testing and from site.4. Standardization of parts to facilitate inventory management.5. To fulfil individual job responsibilities as provided below.

Major Responsibilites:

1. To participate in the technical contract review and ensure the correctness of order indents, Quality Control plans and purchase notes. To communicate with internal functions like Technical Support to Sales (TSS) and Project & Contract Management (CM) for corrections to the Indents and QCPs.2. To participate in internal kick-off meetings and provide technical inputs and ensure resolution of any technical concerns.3. To review and approve Pump Quality Control Plans (QCPs) submitted by TSS and PCM functions within (1) working day. To ensure correctness of Inspection class during the review.4. To lead the development and localization activities for Boiler Recirculation Pump. Provide inputs required by other functions like Purchase, Operations, Quality Management etc. for the procurement and manufacturing of the parts. To monitor the progress of localization through regular reviews and render support to keep the project on track.5. To interact with the Design, Product Management and other functions at KSB SE to ensure effective knowledge transfer and resolution of queries faced at KSB Ltd. (India) during the localization process. To provide a regular report to KSB SE on the progress of ongoing localization activities.6. To lead the development and localization activities for the Motor for Boiler Recirculation Pump with support from KSB SE.7. To prepare the Pump and Motor Bill of Material. To ensure timely preparation, checking and release of manufacturing drawings and assembly check drawings for Boiler Recirculation Pump and Motor. Ensuring revision and archiving of manufacturing drawings as per defined procedure.8. To assist the 3D modelling team in generation of 3D models by providing required 2D drawings and other dimensional inputs, participating in checking the models etc.9. To coordinate with IED and Test Field to ensure that the testing facility follows the requirements specified by KSB SE.10. To resolve technical issues reported during Assembly & Testing and from site. Conduct site visits in consultation with Supreme Serv and Claim Management teams for analysing critical issues. Coordinate with KSB Tech, KSB SE and other internal functions for finalizing solutions as required.11. To create pattern layout drawings and requisitions for new parts to be developed.12. To maintain all documents in the PM&PS library.13. To drive the initiatives related to standardization of pump components across models to minimize plant inventory.

Formal education:

ME / M Tech / BE Electrical or Mechanical

Professional experience in years:

9 – 12 years

Special skills:

Experience in design and development of motors. Knowledge of Motor manufacturing & testing.
