Manager - Pre Sales

The L1 Pre-Sales Manager will be responsible for engaging prospective learners, understanding their requirements, and creating a strong pipeline for the Study Abroad vertical. This role focuses on high-quality lead engagement, counselling readiness, and seamless handover to the sales team for conversions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Engagement & Qualification

• Connect with prospective students through inbound and outbound calls, WhatsApp, emails, and other communication channels.
• Understand student aspirations, academic background, budget, preferred destinations, and timeline for studying abroad.
• Qualify leads based on predefined parameters and ensure precise data capture in CRM.
• Educate students on upGrads Study Abroad programs, university partnerships, and process support.

Pre-Sales Operations

• Create a strong funnel by generating interest and booking appointments for the sales/counselling team.
• Ensure timely follow-ups with warm and hot leads to maximize engagement and readiness.
• Maintain high call productivity and lead conversion ratios at the pre-sales stage.
• Track daily metrics (connects, talk-time, VC booked) and ensure targets are consistently met.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in Inside Sales, Telecalling, Lead Generation, or Pre-Sales (Education/EdTech/Study Abroad experience preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand student requirements and guide them effectively.
• High ownership, discipline, and target-driven mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with daily/weekly targets.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
