We are seeking a talented individual to join our Insurance Operations team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Manager – Insurance Operations (Grade D2)
We’re seeking a Manager – Insurance Operations who is prepared to manage a team responsible for complex and varied insurance tasks. This individual will collaborate with key stakeholders across various business functions to determine the needs of different stakeholder groups. They will design and deliver training tailored to the appropriate audience, at the right time, through the most effective channels. Additionally, they will ensure that new team members are well-equipped to understand the nuances of the processes, facilitating a smooth transition into their roles and playing a crucial part in the professional development of colleagues in pre-process functionalities.
We will count on you to:
- Foster a collaborative team environment by promoting strong relationships and open communication between team members and colleagues in other countries, ensuring a cohesive and inclusive atmosphere across all locations.
- Play a vital role in the team by helping to develop and transition functional capabilities to the service center, responding to knowledge-related inquiries, closing any learning gaps, and conducting regular refreshers to evaluate the retention of training provided.
- Identify problem areas within processes and develop measures to address them. Analyze the root causes of issues and develop actionable plans.
- Lead the team to achieve service level agreements (SLAs) while maintaining high-quality standards for all processes.
- Identify learning opportunities within processes and procedures.
- Promptly highlight any process challenges.
- Identify industry best practices and adapt them to meet our specific needs.
- Supports the senior leaders in developing core content and execution strategies focused on improving processes and meeting strategic objectives.
- Determine the most effective methods and channels to meet various ongoing training needs.
- Ensure both personal and team adherence to return-to-office expectations.
- Manage staffing levels and forecast future requirements.
- Ensure adherence to monthly evaluations to assess colleagues at regular intervals.
Compliance, Regulatory and Procedural Responsibilities
- Ensure that all statutory regulations and company procedures are followed to protect clients, colleagues, and the business interests of the company.
- Appropriate usage of systems to monitor, record and retain information.
- Demonstrate clear understanding of regulatory requirements.
- Proactively ensures compliance with regulatory and risks framework.
- Adheres to policies, guidelines, and operating procedures.
- Keeps own knowledge and expertise up to date and relevant.
- Identify and evaluate risks appropriately. Recognizes how own actions impact compliance.
What you need to have:
- 8-10 years of experience in Operations Management.
- Experience developing a team in a growing business.
- Proven experience with Workflow management Quality Management plans, Workflow tracking and reporting.
- Willingness to work occasional shifts: 2.30pm to 11.30pm & 6:30pm to 3:30am shift.
