Job Description:

Role Purpose:

The Manager, Global Pricing Excellence – Pricing Strategy Activation will be responsible for driving adoption to our global end-to-end pricing framework, further elevating adherence to our global pricing strategy and maximizing value capture of pricing corridor opportunities. The individual will own the pricing corridor data integrity and relevance, interface with regional pricing teams introducing new global capabilities, strategies and processes aimed at creating significant commercial value and competitive advantage for JJMT.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Partner with Global Pricing Strategy and Regional Pricing teams on global pricing corridor frameworks to drive margin optimization and to support topline growth.
  • Ownership of Global List Price’s and process that provides guidance on adjustments to existing List Price, suggested Indexation increases and setting List prices for New Products introductions.
  • Develop and introduce a new global Floor Price management process, providing guidance on recommended floor prices, product insights to regional / local pricing teams and highlighting opportunities within our pricing corridor
  • Use segmentation to support the creation of a customer discount framework and related process focusing on systematically identifying value at stake opportunities and monitoring actions to drive value capture
  • Owner of key pricing corridor assets in ARCH ensuring data integrity, future enhancements in line with business objectives and any adaptation to regional requirements.
  • Collaborate with Global Pricing Strategy teams on identifying opportunities to further improve compliance to strategy and grow GP via price corridor management.
  • Support regional pricing performance reviews whilst highlighting areas of opportunity and improvement through standardized set of pricing KPI’s.
  • Run regional trainings to enhance the Pricing Excellence acumen and knowledge of the global pricing framework and capabilities.
  • Collaborate and take a prominent role in preparation of regional or country workshops to deliver recommendations on how to capture additional pricing opportunities.
  • Provide data and analytical support to additional ad-hoc projects, future development of tableau pricing assets and training materials

Experience and Skills – Required:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of business experience
  • Ability to collaborate and cultivate strong cross-functional partnerships across multiple functions, levels, and geographies
  • Ability to influence without authority – including influencing senior leaders – and to negotiate and drive decision-making
  • Strong business acumen and able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the business and customer landscape driving financial impact
  • Balance of quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills with an emphasis on data-driven and customer-focused decision-making
  • Strong business acumen and a sharp strategic mind grounded in insights within J&J as well as the MedTech industry
  • Comfort with ambiguity and making decisions amidst uncertainty and incomplete data
  • Strong prioritization, project and time management, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint

Experience and Skills – Preferred:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Pricing, Marketing, Contracting, Finance, Strategic Planning or Health Economics
  • Experience in the medical device industry and product/market knowledge of J&J MedTech and competitor medical devices
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and time zones within a complex business environment
  • Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization programs
