Job Description

Position: Manager (Customs & EXIM Regulations)

Experience: 5-7 Years

 

About Company -


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage import/export regulatory requirements, duty calculations, and timely submission of customs documentation.

  • Oversee EPCG, IGCR, MEIS, SEIS, and other EXIM-related schemes.
  • Ensure adherence to all customs laws, policies, and reporting standards.

  • Prepare and verify shipping bills, bills of entry, and other required documentation.

  • Maintain accurate transaction records and generate monthly/quarterly compliance reports.
  • Handle duty drawbacks, refunds, and returns as per government regulations.

  • Coordinate with logistics partners, clearing agents, and government departments (Customs, DGFT).

  • Resolve shipment issues, duty exemptions, and classification matters (HSN codes).

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline EXIM documentation workflows.

  • Support internal and external audits related to customs and trade compliance.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in

    customs and EXIM management

    , preferably in

    manufacturing, power, or renewable energy sectors

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    Indian customs laws, EPCG/MEIS/IGCR schemes, and foreign trade policies

    .
  • Proficient in

    ERP/SAP, ICEGATE portal, MS Office, and ChatGPT tools

    .
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and coordination skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
