Job Overview:

Responsible for ensuring full compliance with customs laws, import/export regulations, and scheme-

related benefits while driving efficiency in documentation, coordination, and cost optimization.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate duty calculation, timely payments, and submission of customs returns.
• Manage exemptions and concessions under EPCG, MEIS, SEIS, IGCR, and Duty Drawback/Remission schemes.
• Prepare, verify, and submit customs documentation (bills of entry, shipping bills, returns, refunds).
• Maintain accurate import/export records and generate periodic reports.
• Coordinate with customs authorities, DGFT, clearing agents, logistics providers, and suppliers.
• Handle audits, inspections, and compliance with scheme obligations.
• Monitor regulatory changes and implement compliant processes.
• Identify opportunities to streamline procedures, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in customs management, particularly in heavy electrical or automobile manufacturing or energy sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Indian customs regulations, import/export laws, and trade schemes (e.g., EPCG/IGCR/MEIS etc.).
• Experience in handling import/export documentation and compliance.
• Familiarity with EPCG and other EXIM schemes.
• Good coordination, liaison, and process improvement skills.
