Manager - Costing & Budgeting

Product Costing

• Input- Output Reconciliation and reasons for unreconciled gaps.
• Compilation & Review of scrap, coordination with Plant Teams & ensuring correct booking
• Review and analysis of all costs flowing into P&L and booking of costs in the correct cost centres
• Pre-Costing activities in SAP (monthly)
• Ensuring correct std cost is maintained for all existing SKU's and NPDs at all plants (event based)
• Also, ensuring rework costs is maintained in the material master (event based)
• Ensuring clearance of COGI in SAP by coordinating with the Teams (monthly)
• Code to code transfers in SAP whenever essential.
• Matching inputs and outputs in all production orders
• DLV Tick, TECO of all production orders
• Settlement of all production, PM and rework orders during the month-end and ensuring no further costs are booked on orders once they are settled.
• Pre-Costing Run in SAP (by 1st of every month)
• Calculation & Settlement of Variances.
• Activity and Business process rates must be validated and should be under the threshold limit and any deviations must be backed by the proper detail and explanation.
• Post Costing Run - Downloading reports and analyzing reasons for variances in rates for various Raw Materials, Semi-finished Goods and Finished Goods.
• Preparation of Costing presentations.
• Reviewing routing and getting it corrected in SAP (annual)
• Cost reduction initiatives based on findings from the costing reports.
  

Plant MIS And Project Accounting

• Review and analysis of all costs flowing into P&L and booking costs in the correct cost centres (by 31st of every month)
• Preparation of Plant and Project MIS ~
• Review of Trial Balance and providing for expenses wherever required.
• Re-classification of expenses.
• Preparing Plant Conversion cost (by 2nd of every month)
• Scrap MIS (by 1st of every month)
• Inventory and ageing reports (by 5th of every month)
• CWIP Ageing with its analysis, reasons and monthly reporting to all respective users for Capitalization (by 3rd of every month) ~ Project MIS.
• Correct capitalization with regard to life, componentization, depreciation life etc. of all Assets with its certificates (event based)
  

Other Responsibilities

• Completion of Cost audit within Timelines
• Completion of Tax Audit schedules and coordination with the Tax Auditors within Timelines
• Handling queries of Statutory Auditors within timelines.
• Closure of Internal Auditors queries within timelines.
• Submission of annual data to NSSO and other Government Agencies.
• Active participation in Quarterly Physical verification of stocks and Fixed Assets.
• Physical Verification of Coal inventory at the end of every month.
• Standardization of Process and updating / creation of PFDs & SOPs.
• Taking initiatives in all ad-hoc work assignments and completing within timelines.
• Taking active part in automating process and reports.
  

Requirements

• Sound working knowledge of Product Costing, IND-AS and Tax laws
• Should be adept in MS-Excel, SAP HANA - S4 (mainly MM, FI and CO modules)
• Team Player and capable of handling pressure.
• Being pro-active and getting the work done within the timelines.
  

Experience

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (or) Inter- CA Relevant work experience is essential.
• 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Should be fluent in English & Hindi.
• Should have managed a Team of 1-2 persons.
