Role Overview
This is a key position in Johnson & Johnson Medical India. The incumbent would develop a deep understanding ofthe current commercial educational environment across India and the neighbouring countries in orderto develop and refine a Commercial Education strategy and execute on a portfolio of products and procedures that will advance the clinical fluency of the sales team. Design customized and innovative commercial education programs as per the country requirement. To represent Commercial Education function in cross functional team and provide technical support and information to Sales / Marketing. The incumbent will partner with the Global & Regional Marketing and Strategic Marketing teams to understand marketing and business strategy and partner with Sales Leadership to understand sales strategy and sales force needs. When strategy is understood, the manager will develop learning strategy and learning continuums for Surgery focusing on assigned specialty, procedures and products
Illustrative Responsibilities
- The content design process to build training materials for sales training.
- New hire program, new product launches, and on-going professional development training courses for the tenured sales force.
- In addition, the individual, through understanding of learning technologies and delivery methods, will propose the most effective and efficient blended learning approach.
The successful incumbent will build the Surgery curriculum for specialty-based field sales representatives, territory leaders, and sales management.
- Individual may be assigned projects to build learning continuums for other specialties/procedures.
- Develop learning strategy and learning continuums for Surgery and other assigned specialty, procedures and products.
- Follow the content design process and build training materials for new sales representative training programs, new product launches, and on-going professional development training courses for tenures sales force.
- Collaborate with Sales Learning counterparts as well as other departments/business units/other J&J companies during content creation to leverage content components, reduce redundancies and ensure efficient process.
- Interact with Professional Education counterpart (lead on Procedural build) to leverage content.
- The Manager, Commercial Education Strategy & Design will act as the clinical content subject matter expert and work with Field Sales Trainers to ensure training is current, accurate and instructionally sound.
- Submit all content through the Copy Review process, keep all content current, ensure all content is approved for use and has met regulatory requirements.
- Create and evaluate assessment metrics for training/trainer effectiveness.
- Work closely with Johnson & Johnson Institutes to facilitate hands-on training
- Responsible for Commercial Education dashboard of franchise
Role Requirements
- Education : Science Grad , MBA (preferred)
- 8-10 years of experience in sales training education with demonstrated ability to develop and manage internal and external networks is required
- Medical Device experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of Surgery preferred
- Proven ability to understand business strategy and translate it into commercial education solutions.
- Excellent communication, analytical, conflict management, complex project management, people management and development skills are required
- Ability to understand anatomy and physiology required.
- Demonstrated ability to use digital tools (Zoom, Teams, other Learning Management Systems) for training and education
- High technological and business aptitude is required
- (Desirable) Design new content for training
- Preferred : Experience of facilitation and formal certification / knowledge of adult learning principles
