Website : https://www.melss.com Job Summary: We are seeking a strategic and dynamic leader to head the Marketing and Sales function for our Automation & Control Division. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and positioning the company as a leader in automation and control solutions across target industries. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a track record of building high-performing teams and successful go-to-market strategies. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the sales and marketing strategy for the Automation & Control vertical aligned with corporate objectives. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, customer segments, and partnerships. Work closely with product development, operations, and executive leadership to ensure cohesive strategy execution. Sales Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a geographically distributed sales team to achieve business targets (revenue, margin, market share). Develop and implement effective sales processes and pipelines (CRM usage, forecasting, KPIs). Build key customer relationships at senior levels and close high-value strategic deals. Marketing Management: Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate leads. Oversee market intelligence, competitive benchmarking, and customer insights to inform positioning and pricing. Guide content development, product marketing, digital marketing, and participation in trade shows/events. Channel & Partner Strategy: Develop distribution and system integrator network strategy. Evaluate and manage key channel partnerships and alliances to extend reach and capabilities. Business Performance: Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics. Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and lifetime value through effective account management and after-sales support. Identify process improvements and technology solutions to enhance sales productivity and customer engagement. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation); MBA in Marketing/Sales is preferred. 12–20 years of experience in B2B sales and marketing, with at least 8+ years in a leadership role within the automation/control sector (e.g., PLC, SCADA, DCS, Building Automation, Industrial IoT). Proven track record in driving sales growth and team performance in complex, solution-based selling environments. Deep understanding of industry verticals such as manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, or process industries. Strong network of industry contacts, system integrators, and OEM partners. Key Skills: Strategic thinking and business acumen Excellent leadership and people management Strong communication and negotiation skills Data-driven decision-making and analytical capabilities Customer-centric mindset with a passion for technology Preferred Tools/Technologies: CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) Marketing automation platforms Familiarity with industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Profibus) and automation platforms from major OEMs (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell, ABB) Remuneration – As per industry standards
