Job Requirements
  • Qualification:
  • Diploma / Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Mechanical/Industrial stream.
  • MBA / Postgraduate in Operations or Supply Chain (preferred).
  • Years of Experience:
  • 5–8 years of experience in stores/inventory management, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in fire extinguisher or engineering/industrial manufacturing will be an added advantage.
  • Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of store/inventory management practices.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/Tally/MS Dynamics or similar).
  • Good knowledge of ISO documentation and compliance.
  • Leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Preferred Industry Background:
Engineering, Fire Safety Equipment, Fabrication, Auto Components Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management & Control :
  • Manage receipts, storage, and issuance of raw materials, spares, consumables, and finished products.
  • Maintain optimum stock levels to ensure smooth production without overstocking.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO system and ensure proper tagging, labeling, and binning of materials.
  • Carry out monthly, quarterly, and annual stock audits and reconciliation.
Systems & Process Management:
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for store operations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of transactions in ERP/Inventory system.
  • Monitor stock movement and generate MIS reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal audit requirements.
  • Coordination & Support to Production/Projects :
  • Ensure timely issue of materials to production and project teams.
  • Coordinate with purchase and production departments for material planning.
  • Maintain buffer stock for critical items to avoid production delays.
  • Logistics & Dispatch Management :
  • Oversee proper packing, handling, and dispatch of finished goods.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to customers/project sites.
  • Maintain coordination with transporters and logistics partners.
  • Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping :
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of fire extinguishers, chemicals, and other sensitive materials.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in the store area.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and company safety norms.
  • People Management
  • Supervise, train, and guide store staff.
  • Build discipline, accountability, and teamwork within the store team.
