Logistics Supervisor

Key Responsibilities: Operational Supervision Supervise and coordinate daily activities of riders responsible for sample pickup and delivery. Ensure all samples are collected, stored, and transported within the required time and temperature guidelines. Monitor and track rider movements using GPS and route management tools. Plan and assign delivery routes to optimize efficiency and reduce turnaround time. Ensure proper documentation and handover of samples at every stage. Team Management Manage rider attendance, shift schedules, and performance metrics (TAT, delivery accuracy, punctuality). Conduct regular team meetings, briefings, and training on SOPs, safety, and sample handling. Motivate and maintain discipline within the rider team. Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with Redcliffe Labs’ SOPs for sample collection, storage, and transport. Conduct random checks for adherence to temperature control and biosafety standards. Coordinate with QA and Lab Operations teams for issue resolution and process improvement. Reporting & Coordination Maintain daily MIS reports on sample pickups, delivery timelines, and rider performance. Coordinate with collection centers, phlebotomists, and lab operations to ensure smooth logistics flow. Report any incidents, delays, or discrepancies in sample handling to the Manager – Logistics. Resource & Inventory Management Ensure availability and maintenance of logistics assets (bikes, boxes, ice packs, PPE, barcode scanners, etc.). Manage fuel reimbursements and petty cash for riders as per company policy. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and coordination ability. Sound understanding of logistics planning and route optimization. Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and delivery management software. Basic understanding of cold chain management and biomedical sample handling. Problem-solving and time management skills.
