As a Link Building Specialist (Link Exchange), you’ll focus on expanding Anchorial’s link network through direct editor collaborations, strategic exchanges, and negotiation-driven placements.

Role Overview

This is an operations-heavy role focused on link exchanges. You’ll work with editors, SEO managers, and other agencies to exchange contextual backlinks across relevant websites. Your job is to get as many quality links live as possible using smart negotiation, slot optimization, and relationship management — not spammy outreach. You’ll collaborate closely with the Link Exchange Lead, Outreach Manager, and Client Strategy Team to meet monthly placement goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Link Exchange Operations

• Manage end-to-end link exchange process — from sourcing opportunities to closing successful placements.
• Identify relevant websites within Anchorial’s internal and partner database.
• Coordinate with editors and partners for exchange deals and placements.
• Maintain accurate records of link swaps, URLs, and anchor texts in Google Sheets or CRM.
• Ensure links go live within agreed timelines and monitor them post-placement.

2. Relationship Building & Negotiation

• Build long-term relationships with editors and webmasters.
• Negotiate smartly — balance value and volume while maintaining profitability.
• Stay updated with each editor’s terms, niches, and DR/traffic thresholds.
• Handle pricing discussions, exchange credits, or slot swaps tactically.

3. Strategic Execution

• Identify advanced link slots (multi-site swaps, tiered exchanges, round exchanges).
• Work on creative and scalable exchange strategies to maximize live links.
• Collaborate with internal teams to identify client opportunities through exchange-based tactics.
• Monitor link quality, relevance, and compliance with Anchorial’s standards (no PBNs, spam, or irrelevant domains).

4. Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain daily and weekly reports of links acquired, pending exchanges, and pipeline status.
• Share link performance updates and new opportunities with the strategy team.
• Regularly clean up exchange sheets to remove expired or inactive opportunities.

Required Skills & Tool Knowledge

• Prior experience in link exchange operations or link-building campaigns.
• Strong understanding of SEO, DR/UR, traffic metrics, anchor text strategy, and relevancy.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Google Sheets, Slack, and Monday.
• Knowledge of Ahrefs.
• Experience working with editors and agencies is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in link building or digital marketing (exchange-focused preferred).
• Prior experience dealing directly with editors or SEO agencies.
• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Marketing/Communications preferred).
