Legal Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Contract and Document Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate distributor/direct seller agreements, vendor contracts, partnership agreements, and product-related claims.
  
• Ensure all contracts align with business objectives while mitigating legal and operational risks.
  
• Review and approve marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and sales strategies to ensure compliance.
  

2. Litigation and Dispute Resolution

• Manage all litigation, arbitration, and disputes, including coordinating with external counsel.
  
• Represent the company in legal proceedings and regulatory hearings.
  
• Develop strategies to prevent and resolve legal risks efficiently.
  

3. Stakeholder Communication & Compliance

• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities such as the Direct Selling Association (DSA).
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, finance) to implement compliance-driven solutions.
  
• Conduct training programs for direct sellers and internal staff on legal, compliance, and risk matters.
  

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

• LLB or equivalent degree from a recognized law school.
  
• Active bar membership in the relevant jurisdiction.
  

Experience:

• Minimum

  10+ years

  of legal experience, preferably within a corporate legal department or as corporate counsel.
• At least

  3–5 years in a managerial/leadership role

  .
• Prior experience in the

  direct selling/MLM industry

  is highly desirable.

Knowledge:

• Expertise in direct selling laws, consumer protection, e-commerce rules, and corporate governance.
  
• Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property, and litigation management.
  

Skills:

• Exceptional negotiation, legal drafting, and analytical skills.
  
• Strong communication and advisory abilities for senior management and sales teams.
  
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
  
• High ethical standards with strong professional integrity.
