Legal Head

As a Senior Manager in Legal Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the legal services department and ensuring the team delivers high-quality legal support. Your role will involve developing and implementing legal strategies that align with the company's objectives, managing complex legal cases, and negotiating contracts to mitigate risks and protect the company's interests. You will also provide expert legal advice to senior management on regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations while maintaining best practices in legal operations. Additionally, you will foster and manage relationships with external legal advisors and stakeholders, conduct legal research and analysis, and prepare reports on legal issues and strategies for the executive leadership team. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the legal services department and ensure high-quality legal support - Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with company objectives - Manage complex legal cases and negotiate contracts to protect company interests - Provide expert legal advice on regulatory and compliance matters - Ensure compliance with local laws and best practices in legal operations - Foster and manage relationships with external legal advisors and stakeholders - Conduct legal research and analysis to stay updated on industry changes - Prepare and present reports on legal issues and strategies to executive leadership - Supervise, mentor, and develop legal staff to promote continuous learning and improvement Qualifications Required: - Master's degree in Law (LL.M) or equivalent legal qualification - Strong understanding of corporate law, compliance, and regulatory frameworks - Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills - Proven leadership capabilities to guide and motivate a team In addition to the essential qualifications, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 13-15 years of relevant experience, preferably in a corporate setting. Experience in managing complex legal cases, providing strategic guidance at a senior level, and leading teams while managing departmental budgets will be advantageous.
