Legal Head

We are looking for a legal advisor to be responsible for providing the company with legal assistance and advice. The responsibilities of a legal advisor include drafting legal documents, structuring solutions for issues, and providing support in legal cases.

Able to Handle disputes with Customers, vendors/partners prior to litigation/arbitrations stage to ensure amicable settlement and negotiations, able to put cases under loan recoveries under different sections of banking laws and multistate cooperative societies law (as an added advantage)

Draft legal notices, warning letters and similar communication to be issued to customers for recoveries. vendors/partners for breach of contractual or regulatory obligations Preparation of various documents, including legal opinions, representations to regulators, briefs for legal opinion to be sought from senior counsel etc.

He/ She should possess excellent analytical, research and writing skills, the ability to make good judgments, and be able to work well within a team. should have strong communication skills, be able to manage a large workload with a tight deadline, and remain up-to-date with laws.

LEGAL DISPUTE

• Handle disputes with vendors/partners prior to the litigation/arbitrations stage to ensure amicable settlement and negotiations
• Able to put up cases under Section 138-142 of the Negotiable Instruments (NI) Act, 1881, which deals with an aspect of dishonour of cheques

LEGAL AND REGULAROTRY ADVISORY

• Render assistance in a corporate advisory on various laws of India and regulations and implementation by the company.
• Provide solutions to businesses whilst advising on the legal regulatory risk involved.
• Review and advise on company policies and processes etc.
• Advised concerned stakeholders on Indian as well as international regulations on data security and data protection as applicable.

CUSTOMERS AND COMMUNICATION

Review and advise on customer communication, including product Terms &Conditions application forms, emailers, and product catalogues from a legal perspective.

CONTRACT ADVISORY

• Draft, vet and negotiate critical contracts from different business functions, including marketing agreements, co-brands, IT agreements, outsourcing agreements, trustee agreements and finance-related agreements.
• Provide support in negotiation on deals with prospective vendors and consultants etc. Protect the business/Regulatory risk for the company through skilful drafting, negotiations and execution of contracts. Ensure compliance with various laws and regulatory mandates applicable on third-party services, cyber security, outsourcing etc., while drafting agreements.

PROJECTS

Represent the legal advisory team and cross-functional business and strategic projects and provide advisory to the project team on legal matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have completed

  LL. B

  from a recognized university.
• Looking for a legal advisor with 3 - 5+ years of experience.
• Understanding multistate cooperative law will be an added advantage
• Should be able to file civil court cases under different sections for loan recovery
• Experience in the law field.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and individually
