POSITION Legal Head REPORTS TO Directors Job Purpose -The Legal Head is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the legal department, provision of legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks. KEY OBJECTIVES/TASKS/ RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMANCE INDICATORS/ OUTCOMES/ACTIVITIES Ensure legal due diligence during land / property acquisition in particular Title investigation & Local legislation. Leadership role - • Provide leadership and ensure efficient and effective management of staff and resources in the Legal department. Legal risk • Review and provide legal advice on tender documents. • Review ongoing cases and advice management accordingly. • Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of action have been taken. • Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management. • Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff. Policy development • Review and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures. • Review and draft contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements. Litigation management • Review progress of outstanding litigation and liaise with and manage external lawyers. EXPERIENCE: 11-15 Years KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Managing the Design Process with the appointed team of Design Consultants Providing Design Ideas on Concept Stages until the final Handover to add value to the Development Preparing scope documents for appointing team of design consultants Prepare project brief and design control documents to ensure code and statutory compliance of design Coordinate with International and local architects, structure, and MEP consultants Responsible for taking all building plan approvals including MC, AAI, CFO, MoEF, IGBC etc. Coordinate with in-house Design, Marketing, Sales, Purchase & Site Teams, MEP, and Structure teams. Prepare area statements, FSI statements, check project efficiencies as per UDCPR-2020, CIDCO-NAINA Regulations and approve drawings/submittals by the various design consultants. Review and Manage BOQs to understand cost implications Track monitor pre-construction timelines, design deliveries and building plan approvals to avoid project delays Undertake project feasibility for potential properties or new acquisition by Coordinating with Finance, Liasioning and Asset Management Teams. KEY SKILLS: Knowledge of latest market trends in architectural design and technology essentials Strong Design, Graphic and Aesthetic Skills Eye for detail, material specifications, cost knowhow Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Sketchup is Mandatory.
