Legal Consultant

As a Legal Consultant at our Chennai office, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive legal support, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and serving as a trusted advisor to the management team on key business decisions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory matters affecting the company. - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements. - Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to the agri-tech and AI sectors. - Advise management on legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential exposure. - Represent the company in legal proceedings and coordinate with external counsel when required. - Oversee matters related to intellectual property, licensing, and data protection. - Monitor legislative and regulatory developments that may impact business operations. - Establish and maintain standard legal templates, compliance checklists, and policies. **Qualifications & Skills:** - Bachelors degree in Law (LLB); masters degree or specialization in Corporate/Commercial Law preferred. - Licensed to practice law in India. - 2+ years of experience in corporate or in-house legal roles (experience in technology or agriculture sector is a plus). - Strong understanding of contract law, corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and employment law. - Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally. - High ethical standards, discretion, and professional integrity.
