As we evolve into a unified commerce enabler, we are bridging the gap between online discovery and offline fulfillment across the Tata retail ecosystem—powering seamless journeys from mobile to mall.Role OverviewWe are looking for an execution-focused and systems-savvy Assistant Product Manager to lead the transformation of in-store retail infrastructure across Tata CLiQ's brand and store partners. You will own the roadmap for modern point-of-sale (POS) systems, store mobility apps, order orchestration, inventory sync, and assisted commerce tools—ensuring store staff and customers experience the same magic across touchpoints.This is a platform + experience role—requiring depth in retail tech systems and a vision for consumer-grade store interfaces.Key Responsibilities
  • StoreTech Platform Ownership
  • Define the roadmap for next-gen POS, billing, and clienteling solutions for Tata CLiQ partner stores.
  • Build and integrate with modular systems like assisted checkout, endless aisle, split payments, return in-store, and localized fulfillment.
  • Ensure offline capabilities (sync-on-connect), performance at scale, and mobile-first design for store devices.
  • Omni-channel & Unified Commerce
  • Lead integration between e-commerce and store systems—real-time inventory sync, click & collect, ship-from-store, return to store, and offline loyalty redemption.
  • Define APIs and orchestration workflows between POS, OMS, WMS, CRM, and ERP.
  • Partner & Store Staff Tooling
  • Create intuitive tools for store staff to assist customers (clienteling, product lookup, offers engine, profile-based recommendations).
  • Co-design experience with business teams for in-store training, adoption, and compliance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering, store operations, design, and retail brands to define specs and success KPIs.
  • Collaborate with digital commerce, CRM, and loyalty teams to ensure a consistent CX across online and offline journeys.
  • Scale, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure POS and StoreTech systems are compliant with data, tax, and payment regulations.
  • Drive high availability and uptime SLAs for business continuity at store level.
What You Bring
  • 3+ years of product experience in retail tech, store systems, or commerce platforms.
  • Hands-on exposure to POS systems (Oracle Xstore, SAP, Shopify POS, or custom) and integrations with backend order/inventory systems.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, billing workflows, tax logic, store onboarding, and returns/refunds.
  • Proven track record of launching products used by frontline staff or in physical retail contexts.
  • Technical fluency to work with APIs, middleware, and enterprise systems.
