Shift: APAC Hours / Regional Coverage
In this leadership role, you will:
Lead and mentor a team responsible for delivering reliable, high‑quality data services and managing escalations.
Coordinate with global teams and external partners to handle handovers, address queries, and ensure alignment across regions.
Oversee mailbox monitoring and ensure timely resolution of data requests using case‑management tools.
Supervise the processing of daily data feeds, pricing pipelines, manual data inputs, and exception reporting workflows.
Recalculate Private Equity valuations following corporate events, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Support system upgrades, automation initiatives, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new processes or tools.
Act as the central liaison for client valuation data issues and vendor escalations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
Maintain and audit regulatory and pricing/valuation data standards (e.g., ensuring correct Fair Value levels in compliance with IFRS).
Share subject‑matter expertise: perform data setup, reconciliation and quality checks, and document best practices.
You should have:
Demonstrated experience working with financial data (instruments, pricing, indexing) within an asset management or financial services environment.
Deep understanding of the downstream impacts of data quality on portfolio valuations, client reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Strong knowledge of derivative and OTC product valuations, including methodologies and sensitivities.
In‑depth exposure to corporate actions, event‑driven pricing, and valuation adjustments.
Broad familiarity with investment products, portfolio accounting, and client reporting workflows.
Practical experience with systems like Aladdin, S&P/Markit EDM, T24 (or equivalent).
Hands-on experience with market data vendors (e.g. Refinitiv Eikon & Datascope, Bloomberg, ICE).
Certification or demonstrable experience with Xceptor (preferably Xceptor Practitioner Certification), and prior involvement in live‑production configuration.
Strong technical aptitude: advanced Excel (formulas, macros, VBA), Power Query, SQL or equivalent scripting/ETL skills.
Previous exposure to modelling OTC instruments using third‑party analytical or pricing libraries is a plus.
Demonstrated involvement in data‑intensive project work, with exposure to requirements gathering, implementation and testing phases.
These attributes or credentials would strengthen your application:
Degree in finance, accounting, business, quantitative discipline, or equivalent.
Solid analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills.
Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Strong communication (written and verbal): able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional efforts, with a constant focus on quality, delivery, and client service.
Organised, proactive, self-motivated and resilient; able to juggle priorities under pressure.
A service mindset: responsive to internal and external clients, with ownership of issues through resolution.
Flexibility regarding working hours when project or regional demands require it.
