Job Title: TAC Support Engineer (L2 – Network Security)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled TAC Support Engineer to provide Level 2 technical support for firewall and network security products. The role involves troubleshooting, configuration, and escalation management while ensuring timely resolution of customer issues within defined SLAs. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to resolve complex issues and contribute to continuous improvements in support processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L2 technical support via phone, email, and case portal, ensuring resolution within SLAs.
Handle firewall device support including setup, upgrades, policy configuration, and troubleshooting.
Assist with the configuration of NAT, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), firewall rules, routing, and proxy policies.
Analyse traffic logs, system health alerts, and security events using diagnostic tools.
Guide users on best practices for perimeter defense, intrusion prevention, and remote access.
Troubleshoot device performance, failover, and HA setup issues.
Contribute to internal knowledge base articles and suggest documentation improvements.
Collaborate with L3 engineering, QA, and product teams on unresolved or product-level issues.
Participate in on-call rotations and support for high-priority/after-hours incidents.
Technical Skills Required:
Strong understanding of network protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
Good knowledge of routing protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
Hands-on experience with WatchGuard Firebox or other UTM/NGFWs (Fortinet, SonicWall, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, etc.).
Proficiency in VPN, Routing & Switching (OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, High Availability, IPSLA), ACL, NAT, DNS, DHCP.
Experience with packet analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
Exposure to Syslog, SNMP, and basic scripting for automation/log parsing.
Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or Zendesk.
Preferred Certifications:
WatchGuard Certified System Professional (WCSP – Firebox) or equivalent firewall certifications.
CompTIA Network+ / Security+.
Cisco CCNA Security.

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
