L1 Support Engineer

Job Title: L1 Support Engineer – MWC Site

Job Description:

To provide on-site Level 1 technical support at the MWC premises for IT infrastructure including desktops, laptops, printers, basic networking, and end-user issues. The engineer will be the first point of contact for users at the client site and will ensure timely resolution or escalation of technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level IT support.
• Handle installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Assist in resolving basic network connectivity issues (LAN/Wi-Fi).
• Log and track service tickets using the ticketing system
• Escalate unresolved issues
• Coordinate with client’s internal IT team or vendors when needed.
• Maintain on-site records for IT inventory and incident logs.
• Ensure basic compliance with IT security policies at user level.
• Provide remote support to other sites if required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

• Windows OS (10/11), MS Office Suite
• Email setup (Outlook, O365)
• Printer troubleshooting and network printer setup
• LAN/Wi-Fi configuration basics

Soft Skills:

• Good communication (English/Tamil)
• Client coordination and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently on-site
• Time and task management

Experience: 1–3 years in IT desktop or field support (Mandatory)
Preference: Candidates based out of Tambaram, and its surroundings are highly preferred.
