Melange India is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase Executive to strengthen our procurement function for premium hospitality projects. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy market research, supplier interaction, and strategic sourcing in a fast-paced environment.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

Product Research & Market Intelligence

• Conduct in-depth research to identify new products, emerging trends, and market opportunities
• Analyze competitor pricing, market conditions, and supplier capabilities
• Supplier Management & Relationship Building

Identify, evaluate, and manage domestic and international suppliers

• Build long-term supplier relationships and negotiate commercial terms
• Ensure suppliers meet quality standards, timelines, and compliance requirements
• Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization

Identify alternate sourcing options to optimize cost without compromising quality

• Drive continuous cost-saving initiatives and improve procurement efficiency
• Procurement Planning & Coordination

Prepare and execute purchase orders accurately and timely

• Coordinate with internal teams to align procurement with project schedules and inventory needs
• Market Expansion & Supplier Exploration

Travel to new markets and supplier locations to explore opportunities

• Assess supplier risks and capabilities to strengthen the supply chain
• Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze procurement data to identify trends, gaps, and savings opportunities

• Prepare reports on supplier performance, procurement activities, and cost efficiencies

Risk Management

• Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans
• Ensure continuity of supply during market disruptions

🎯 What We’re Looking For

• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Proficiency in procurement systems and advanced Microsoft Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing
• Hospitality industry experience is an advantage
