Join Oyela, a fast-fashion women centric D2C brand specializing in fashion for Gen Z . As a Junior

Merchandiser, In this role, you'll support our merchandising team and work closely with the Senior

Merchandiser to ensure the smooth flow of production for our collections. You'll collaborate with

various teams, vendors, and suppliers, playing a crucial role in sourcing fabric & trims, finding new

production vendors, coordinating production, and ensuring on-time delivery.

About the Role:

We're looking for someone to take charge of our production process from start to finish. This role is

perfect for someone who's proactive and can smoothly coordinate between different teams within our

company, such as Design, Product, and Business Development.

Key Responsibilities:

● Assist in managing the entire production process for each collection, from initial sample handover to final bulk production.

● Source new vendors for fabric, trims, and garment manufacturing to diversify the supply base.

● Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring they meet quality and delivery expectations.

● Prepare production files, organize pre-production meetings, and document key details, comments and action points.

● Collaborate with the pattern design, sampling and quality teams to ensure all production requirements align with the approved sample specifications.

● Raise and track purchase orders, follow up on timelines, and ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.

● Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost-effective sourcing while meeting quality standards.

● Coordinate with the quality control team to implement quality measures across the production process.

Qualifications & Experience:

● Diploma or Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Design, or related field from NIFT, Pearl, or similar institutions.

● Minimum 2 years of experience in merchandising or production coordination, ideally within domestic fast fashion or D2C brands.

● Strong knowledge of fabric/trims sourcing, pattern understanding, vendor management, and production timelines.

● Proficiency in MS Excel, PPT, Word and communication tools to manage updates, track progress, and coordinate effectively.

● Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with an ability to work well within cross-functional teams.
