Job title: Fabric Merchandiser Location: Gurugram Department: Merchandising/ Sourcing Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Fabric Merchandiser to manage the sourcing, procurement, and quality control of fabrics used in our production. The ideal candidate will have strong vendor management skills, a keen eye for fabric quality, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities: Fabric Procurement & Order Management: Source and place orders for all type of knitted and woven fabrics - check our website www.oyela.in for more information on fabrics Vendor Management & Negotiation: Coordinate with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely fabric deliveries. Fabric Quality Control: Conduct in-house fabric inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. Inventory & Tracking: Maintain records of fabric quantities in-house, dispatched, and in transit and Fabric Avg for different designs R&D for Cost & Quality Optimization: Research and implement cost-effective sourcing strategies while improving fabric quality. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of orders, quality checks, and vendor agreements. Qualifications & Experience: 5+ years of experience in fabric sourcing or textile merchandising. Strong knowledge of fabric types, construction, and finishes and manufacturing processes Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
