Job Role Purpose
Junior lawyer will be responsible for end-to-end legal drafting, vetting, negotiation, and execution of all agreements related to Joint Ventures, FOCO/FOFO Partnerships, LOIs, MOUs, Vendor Contracts, Franchise Agreements, Leasing Agreements, Policy Documents, and other statutory compliance documents for the EBG Group’s diversified businesses.The role ensures legal protection for the organization while enabling fast business execution.
Key Responsibilities
A. Drafting, Vetting & Negotiation - Assist Legal Head in
- Draft, review, and finalize:
- Joint Venture Agreements
- LOIs (Letter of Intent)
- MOUs
- Franchise & FOCO/FOFO Agreements
- Supplier, Vendor & Service Agreements
- Leasing / Licensing Agreements
- Employment Contracts
- NDAs, Term Sheets, Addendums
- Negotiate contract terms with external parties, partners, and vendors.
- Ensure legal documents align with the business model, risk parameters, and compliance guidelines of EBG Group.
B. Transaction Support for Business Expansions
- Provide legal support to Legal Head for new business ventures, acquisitions, franchising, and partnership expansions.
- Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments for JV partners and land/asset acquisitions.
- Review key commercial terms and identify legal risks in proposed business deals.
C. Assist in Execution & Compliance
- Assist in Manage stamping, notarization, digital signature execution, and safe record-keeping.
- Ensure all agreements comply with Indian company law, contract law, FDI norms, and sector-specific regulations.
- Monitor contract renewals, expiries, and ensure timely updates.
D. Assist in Litigation, Dispute Management & Advisory
- Coordinate with external law firms on disputes, notices, litigation matters.
- Draft response to legal notices, demand letters, arbitration notices, etc.
- Provide proactive legal advice to leadership on potential risks and mitigation strategies.
E. Internal Legal Support
- Develop standard contract templates for various EBG divisions.
- Educate internal teams (Sales, Operations, HR, Finance) on legal clauses, compliance processes, and contract execution protocols.
- Maintain a central database of all agreements & legal documentation.
Skills & Competencies
- Expertise in drafting & vetting complex legal agreements.
- High attention to detail and risk assessment ability.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-business environment.
- Exposure to FOCO/FOFO models, franchising, operations agreements is preferred.
Qualifications
- LLB / LLM from a reputed law college.
- 2 years of experience in corporate legal (preferably in diversified conglomerates, real estate, retail, franchising or manufacturing sector).
- Experience working with founders/leadership teams is an added advantage.
Reporting To
- You will report to the Legal Head of EBG Group
Working Days
- Monday to Saturday Working (6 days a week), Work from Office, Timings are from 10 am to 7 pm
Joining Time
- Within 30 days from the date of Offer given
Reporting Office
- You will be based at our new EBG Group Office at Chakala, Andheri East, Mumbai
Salary Package
- Your Approximate Salary package will be 30K to 40K
