Job Summary
The Compliance, Administration & Payroll Officer is responsible for ensuring the organization operates within legal, regulatory, and internal policy frameworks while efficiently managing administrative functions and payroll processing. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance standards, supporting HR and operational needs, and ensuring accurate and timely salary disbursements.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the organization complies with all relevant labor laws, tax regulations, data protection, and industry-specific legislation.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates to management.Prepare, submit, and maintain statutory filings (e.g., tax returns, pensions, social security, and other government reports).Conduct internal audits to assess policy adherence and recommend corrective actions.Manage company licenses, permits, and regulatory documentation.Support internal and external audits and liaise with regulatory bodies when necessary.
Oversee day-to-day office operations, including procurement, asset management, and facilities maintenance.
Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical) for employee records, contracts, and company documentation.Support management in scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including document verification and system setup.Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely renewal of service agreements.
Process monthly payroll accurately and on schedule, including salaries, bonuses, deductions, and overtime.Ensure compliance with statutory deductions (e.g., taxes, pensions, social security contributions).Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.Reconcile payroll accounts and liaise with Finance to ensure accuracy.Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies promptly.Prepare payroll-related reports for management and statutory bodies.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting, or related field.3–5 years of experience in a compliance, administrative, or payroll role.Strong knowledge of employment laws, payroll regulations, and compliance frameworks.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Proficient in MS Office and payroll..Strong communication and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity and confidentiality.
