Job Title: Piping Site Engineer & Coordinator Location: Jamnagar, Gujarat Duration: Minimum 8 months (extendable) Industry: Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Infrastructure Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Piping Site Engineer & Coordinator to oversee the installation and coordination of piping systems at a large-scale construction project in Jamnagar. The ideal candidate will ensure that all piping activities are executed according to design specifications, timelines, safety protocols, and budgetary requirements. This role will also serve as a crucial link between the site, design, procurement, and contractor teams. Key Responsibilities Review piping design drawings, isometrics, P&IDs, and material specifications. Verify material requisitions raised by site contractors. Supervise fabrication, erection, and testing activities (hydrostatic & pneumatic). Ensure correct pipe routing, support installation, and welding per ASME/ANSI/API standards. Conduct site surveys and support layout development and troubleshooting. Coordinate material take-offs and monitor inventory and delivery schedules. Liaise effectively between design office, procurement, and site teams. Prepare daily and weekly progress reports; support project scheduling. Organize and participate in site coordination meetings with contractors and vendors. Maintain up-to-date project documentation including drawings, permits, and work packs. Support planning and execution of shutdowns, turnarounds, and commissioning. Required Skills & Knowledge In-depth knowledge of piping materials, welding methods, and NDT techniques. Proficient understanding of industry codes and standards: ASME B31.3, B31.1, ASTM, API. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Navisworks, Smart Plant, or similar tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective communication, coordination, and reporting skills. Education & Experience Educational Qualification: Bachelor's or Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical / Process Engineering or a related discipline. Experience Required BE: 12 15 years of relevant experience Diploma: 15 18 years of relevant experience Prior work in Oil & Gas, power plants, chemical, or infrastructure sectors preferred.
